This is one of my last McDonald’s projects. Was part of the ideation and early stages of production until our team was split in two. Props to Alvin Tecson and his team for making this look as beautiful as we all envisioned it to be!

After months of preparations, production and sleepless nights, the spicy chicken burger that captured the hearts (and taste buds) of Singaporeans, Indians and other Asian countries was finally launched in the Philippines, last June 13, 2013.
Introducing, the new McSpicy! Spiced just right to “Spice up your day!”
The launch kicked-off with this TVC featuring the newest addition to McDonald’s roster of popular endorsers – Jessy Mendiola.
Social media was abuzz with tweets, comments and photos using the hashtag #mcspicyishere.
Watch out for more “spiced up” moments courtesy of the new McSpicy.
In the meantime, try it out for yourself..well unless, you’re still undecided.

The 2013 New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising shortlist is out! And our Integrated/Interactive campaign for McDonald’s Twister Fries made it as Finalist in the Creative Marketing Effectiveness category.
Twister Fries was the first campaign I became part of in Leo Burnett Manila. So yeah, this citation feels real good!
Meanwhile in the Philippines, our McDonald’s “Hooray for today” print ad and “Nightlife” TVC for WWF Earth Hour, both made it to the Adobo Design Awards shortlist (Press, Broadcast Animation and Best in Show Design for Good categories)
Congratulations to everyone who worked hard on these projects! Let’s keep our fingers, toes and eyes crossed for good results!
On March 18, 2013, Monday at 5-9AM, McDonald’s stores across the world gave away over 5,000,000 McMuffins to its loyal patrons in celebration of National Breakfast Day! In the Philippines, 300 McDonald’s breakfast stores gave out 300,000 McMuffins to the first 1,000 costumers per store.
National Breakfast Day is a McDonald’s global initiative that aims to instill the importance of breakfast in everyone.
We were tasked to create buzz and excitment through various media touch points – TV, Print, Radio, and Digital.
The results were overwhelming! I heard news about people lining up as early as 4am! Some stores gave their 1,000th McMuffin at 6am! #nationalbreakfastday became the #1 trending topic on social media sites. And most of all, thousands of Filipinos who were made happy and ready to face the day with a smile. This truly was a Hooray for Today! moment.
I’m just glad to have been part of this relevant advocacy.
